Asia Agritech Challenge 2020

Tuesday I visited farms in Nigeria and Zimbabwe, tomorrow I'll visit Sri Lanka, Myanmar, India and Vietnam, next week I'll be in Mexico! As organizer/host, jury member, and speaker respectively, I'm honored and humbled to exchange knowledge, and to learn what #digital #transformation of #agriculture #supplychain means to farmers all around the world. I'm deeply aware that I'm in a privileged position to benefit from this digital new normal. However, digital innovation is not about technical solutions or to benefit a few. The day when #blockchain, #AI, #cryptocurrency etc. cease to be technical jargons, hypes or speculations is when real user cases in the physical world can be deployed worldwide, to deliver what farmers really need, improve livelihood and #foodsecurity of the hundreds of millions of people in lesser position - a majority being women, building #trust, facilitating #fairtrade, providing financial access, and protecting our #environment!
